Nitrite, LR
  • Simple operation
  • Rugged housing for field use
  • Long battery life

Nitrites are an intermediate product in the nitrogen cycle and are produced during ammonia oxidation with water, or even originate in industrial waste directly. They must not be present in drinking water. Nitrites can be harmful to aquatic organisms even in low concentrations and for this reason, they are closely monitored in aquaculture facilities. In cooling towers, however, an adequate amount of nitrites is necessary to prevent corrosion. In high concentrations, they can be harmful to environment and to man. They are, therefore, normally monitored to verify the quality of water for domestic use, as well as lakes and ponds. HI 93707 and HI 93708 show the nitrite concentration directly in the 0.00 to 0.35 mg/L and 0 to 150 mg/L ranges, with increments of 0.01 mg/L and 1 mg/L, respectively.

HI 93707 is supplied complete with 2 cuvets, battery and instructions.
