For calibration of all Sper Scientific digital sound meters and any sound meter with 1" or 1/2" microphone. Conforms to ANSI S1.4-1984 and IEC942 1988 Class 2 standards for acoustical calibrators. Simply place the calibrator on to the digital sound meter's microphone, turn on the calibrator, and adjust the meter's reading to either 94 or 114 dB. Operates at a frequency of 1KHz +/- 4% and with an accuracy of +/-0.5 dB. Built in battery check. Easily portable for field use, it comes with a carrying case, adaptors for 1/2" and 1" microphones, instructions and a 9 volt battery.

This software can be used by Model 840028 and connects directly to to the computer's serial port. The meter's reading will be simultaneously shown on analog, digital and chart recorder displays. The software automatically recognizes the type of meter it is receiving data from and continuously scales all graphs and analog read-outs.Separate displays for main meter parameter and temperature. Additional displays for min-max readings for both parameters, real-time. User can choose test duration, number, frequency of samples, number of X axis points and set audible hi / lo alarms. data points can be saved to a file and graphs can be printed out immediately. A cable 840054 is necessary to connect directly to the computer's RS232 port and is sold separately.
